Kenneth C. Hamilton, Jr. was born in Decatur, Georgia (April 30, 1981) to Kenneth C. Hamilton Sr. of Jackson, Mississippi and Brenda Lattimore of Spindale, North Carolina. From very early on, Kenny was a precocious youth whose passion was always music and entertainment. Yet, hardship hit early on when his mother passed in July of 1983 leaving behind Kenny, Jr. and his two sisters, Starlyn and Tonya. Ever dedicated to provide for his family, Kenny remained focused on receiving an education. Kenny graduated from Stephenson High School in 1999, and during his high school years he attended Phillips Academy Andover’s Summer Session Academic Program, which exposed him to a network of professionals he maintains in contact with today. After high school, Kenny enrolled in Lipscomb University before serving as an Operations Specialist in the United States Navy from July 2000 to December 2003. During his time in uniform, Kenny served in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Returning to his passion for music and entertainment, Kenny began interning for Q100 radio station in Atlanta in April of 2004. The radio station was so impressed with his work that he was promptly hired as an on-air personality just five months later, in September of the same year. While working for Q100 radio, Kenny also began working at So So Def as a street team promotions intern in 2005.
In 2006, Kenny left Q100 radio and joined 95.5 The Beat. Here he remained until 2009, as an on-air radio personality, and was in charge of hosting various marketing and promotional events for the station. It is through his work here that Kenny received the opportunity of a lifetime.
Kenny crossed paths with Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun who brought Kenny on board Bieber Time Touring in September of 2009. In this new position, Kenny was responsible for handling talent travel and contracted obligations, as well as providing security and managing all of the security teams for travel and events. Kenny was also the point man on-site for all special events, and even managed the day-to-day touring logistics for the music industry’s biggest star at the time, Justin Bieber.
In conjunction to all of this work with Justin Bieber, Kenny also worked with Scooter Braun on a myriad of other projects. Kenny handled the execution of marketing plans, projects, and events for Scooter Braun Projects as well as brand partnership integration. Kenny was in charge of ensuring effective management of both marketing and operations teams, as well as sustaining rapport with key industry players and pursuing new opportunities. In 2013, Kenny was instrumental in getting Amber Riley on Dancing with the Stars, which she ultimately won.
In the Summer of 2013, Kenny entered the world of entrepreneurship, beginning to expand into other realms of the entertainment industry. Kenny partnered with h.Wood Group founders John Terzian and Brian Toll, and became a lifestyle ambassador of the vibrant, highly touted and successful Los Angeles nightclubs, Bootsy Bellows and Hooray Henry’s, and the luxurious upscale Shore Bar in Santa Monica, Ca. The h. Wood Group established another Bootsy Bellows in Aspen, which opened its doors on New Years Day, 2014. As a brand himself Kenny Hamilton is also a social media influencer by having over 2.15 million followers on Twitter, over 690k on Instagram, and he is followed by over 55k people on Facebook. He also uses his power and influence for motivational purposes, social, civil rights, and political issues.
In the summer of 2015, Kenny became one of 3 producers who brought back the hit MTV series Punk’d to BET. He is also back in the music management field managing emerging superstar from Sydney, Australia, Ky Baldwin. Far from his humble roots in Decatur, Georgia, one thing has remained constant for Kenny Hamilton– his undying passion and dedication to music, brands, and entertainment.
