Lisandra Rickards is a business strategy consultant, blogger, budding author, and avid traveler. Her goal is to live the biggest, most free-spirited life possible.
Lisandra has conducted economic and statistical research for the best-selling books Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics; consulted for the Ministry of Finance in Jamaica; worked at Bain & Company in New York City; and has helped develop a global brand strategy for Caribbean conglomerate GraceKennedy. She was most recently Director of Business Development at the RMP Group, a private investment firm based in Orlando, Florida that targets businesses in the U.S. currently servicing Fortune 1000 clients for investments of growth capital.
She became fluent in Spanish while studying abroad for one year in Spain, and used her time there to travel around Europe, including to Lisbon, London, Paris, and Rome. While at Harvard, she spent time in Mexico, Colombia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, and Egypt. As a result of her strong interest in lifestyle design, Lisandra recently decided to become an independent business consultant in order to devote more time to her passion for writing and travel.
Lisandra has an MBA with First-Year Honors from Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Student Marshal. She was featured in the CNBC documentary The Money Chase: Inside Harvard Business School and was contacted by so many people wanting to know more about her story, that she was encouraged to write a memoir. She grew up in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Campion College for high school.
She is currently based in Kingston, Jamaica, where she sees her family often, goes to the beach on the weekends, and enjoys wine and great food at house parties with her friends.
