Dr. Pandwe Gibson is the executive director of EcoTech Visions. A business incubator focused on deepening the innovative ecosystem in South Florida to include light manufacturing and production firms. EcoTech Visions brings innovation down to the middle core of the community, while addressing environmental challenges, systemic poverty, and small business growth by capitalizing on the green collar economy.
As an educator, serving in the public school sector, Dr. Gibson co-founded ReNEW- the first Charter Management Organization (CMO) in the Southern United States. As director, the organization doubled in growth from 6 schools in one year, 11 schools the second year, and 16 the following year.
During the last 5 years, the focus has shifted from social service to corporate. In an effort to increase scalability and sustainability by supporting a variety of businesses to grow from the “Mom and Pop” phase to midsize companies.
In 2013, Dr. Gibson took a courageous leap into the entrepreneurial world, co-founding EcoTech Visions. The firm develops and manages commercial properties that revitalize communities while promoting economic development.
One such development is the EcoTech Business Incubator that houses and supports green businesses with a focus on light manufacturing. This model converts the traditional blue collar worker into a “green-collar” work force.
